Three stages: the past sizes, the present controls, the future trades.
Live
1 The past sizes
Before offering any advice, the engine reads your history: your consumption hour by hour, your generation if you have any, and the past weather over your roof as reconstructed by the models. That is what it uses to calculate what a battery, panels or another tariff would have brought you — using your data, not an average home.
Live in your study
2 The present controls
In your study, the engine replays your year seven days at a time and decides every quarter-hour: buy, store, discharge, using your actual prices. In your home, this decision will be made each day for the next seven days, using weather forecasts from the best models available for your address: this is the role of the PowerBox, from early Q2 2027. When data is missing or uncertain, the engine says so and abstains — it never displays a reassuring zero in place of a missing measurement.
Not live
3 The future trades
In time, the flexibility of thousands of systems controlled together has value on the electricity market. This part is not live.
What you see, and what you can check
Every data item we show you carries its age. Out-of-date data is flagged as out of date. You do not have to take our word for it: your account shows you the measurement, its date and what it does not cover.
From 21 October 2026
Your data
It comes from your meter with your consent, and only with your consent. You can withdraw it whenever you wish. It is used for your sizing study and advice; once anonymised, it is also used to improve our calculations. We do not sell it on.
